eLearningLair partnered with the Minnesota Department of Health to create a 16-module Trauma Education eLearning program for healthcare professionals statewide. The interactive, multimedia-rich training aligned with Minnesota’s trauma system and nursing board standards, offering flexibility and compliance in one solution. The result was improved trauma care, enhanced clinician confidence, and consistent, high-quality patient outcomes across Minnesota’s healthcare network.

Challenge & Solution

The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) needed a comprehensive and accessible eLearning program to train healthcare professionals across the state in trauma assessment and treatment. The training had to meet the requirements of Minnesota’s statewide trauma system and align with the Minnesota Board of Nursing’s educational standards.

The challenge: deliver consistent, high-quality trauma education to healthcare workers in diverse roles and facilities while ensuring flexibility, engagement, and compliance with state regulations.

The solution: MDH partnered with eLearningLair to develop a dynamic 16-module Trauma Education eLearning program. Each module was designed to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and clinical skills required to assess and treat trauma patients effectively — anytime, anywhere.

Our Process

eLearningLair’s approach combined instructional design expertise with medical accuracy and interactive learning techniques. The program was divided into 16 focused modules, allowing learners to progress at their own pace while maintaining a clear structure and flow.

Each module integrated interactive elements, case studies, and assessments to reinforce key concepts and promote knowledge retention. Multimedia components — including animations, expert video demonstrations, and scenario-based quizzes — brought real-world medical situations to life.

Accessibility and inclusivity were prioritized, ensuring the training accommodated different learning styles and was easy to navigate across devices. The course was also aligned with Minnesota’s trauma system requirements and Board of Nursing regulations, guaranteeing compliance and relevance across all healthcare settings.

Result Driven

The Trauma Education eLearning program had a measurable impact on healthcare quality across Minnesota. Participants demonstrated a deeper understanding of trauma assessment and treatment, with improved performance on module evaluations. Hospitals and healthcare institutions reported greater consistency in trauma care, improved patient outcomes, and enhanced staff confidence.

The program’s modular, cost-effective design allowed healthcare professionals to train efficiently without disrupting their demanding schedules. By combining engagement, compliance, and flexibility, eLearningLair helped the Minnesota Department of Health elevate trauma education statewide and strengthen patient care outcomes.
